It's always exciting to see new faces in the podcast crowd and "YFYI", or Yoga For Your Intellect, is just that. A conversational, digital approach to the 5000+ year old, ancient eastern philosophy of Vedanta.
Client
The team behind YFLY reached out to us to create a concept design for their upcoming podcast related merch from a provided quick sketch and a few key instructions that were enough to get us going in the right direction. A sun logo and their slogan in a 70’s style, following the form of a wave.
First Draft
The opportunity to back a few decades and explore the common typography of the 70’s was a fun task that resulted in a groovy, clean and readable design that had all the necessary elements to call the project a success, and an interesting one on top of that too.
Second Draft
After discussing the shortcomings of the initial drafts together with the team of YFYI we offered a simplified take on their original idea. Clean and legible even from a far, the new concept put an accent on the Sun symbolism, unifying the branding across all formats.
From an alternative draft of the back design emerged a this. Nemo enim ipsam voluptatem, quia voluptas sit, aspernatur aut odit aut fugit, sed quia consequuntur magni dolores eos.
